Kerala shocker : Female NEET aspirants made to remove undergarments and hijabs just to take exam, complaint filed


 In continuance of a crazy and invasive practice that has turned into an periodic horror story for women medical applicants, scholars at a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test( NEET) Undergraduate( UG) examination centre in Kerala’s Kollam quarter were forced to remove their bras before entering the test hall, reportedly over ‘ metal hooks ’. 

 

 scholars complained that they had to face internal trauma right before trying the high- stake test. According to primary information, nearly 100 girls had to face this situation. 

The incident, which took place at Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology, Ayur, on Sunday, came to light after a pupil’s parent filed a complaint with the supervisor of Police, Kollam Rural in this regard. 

 

 Gopakumar Sooranad, the pupil’s father, refocused out in his complaint that the sanctioned information bulletin issued by the National Testing Agency( NTA) doesn't mention any ban on bras with essence hooks. When his son refused to remove her innerwear, she was asked not to write the test, he said. “ My son had been preparing for this test for a long time. But she wasn't indeed suitable to write the test duly. She returned to us crying, worried. They had compulsorily asked the girl scholars to remove their innerwears. The children were veritably uncomfortable. numerous of them werecrying.However, they can check the innerwear during frisking, If it's the rule. But why remove them? There are no similar rules in the NEET bulletin, ” he told The NewsMinute. 

The pupil approached the police after undergarments were set up ditched together in cartons post the examination. Meanwhile, the council authorities denied responsibility stating that frisking and biometric checking were done by external agencies. 

 

 Another womanish pupil has contended that she wasn't allowed to wear hijab during the test. According to rules, scholars are allowed to wear religious dresses if they report to the test center about two hours ahead of the test. The pupil contended indeed though she did remove her hijab she was ill- treated by the invigilator during the test.
